This finely machined brass and nickel N Female crimp connector is used to terminate LMR-400 (or equivalent) series braided coaxial cables. The N Female connector can be identified by its medium-sized body which has an outer thread. The centre receptacle is thicker than many other connector types and is air-gapped from the outer body with no insulating mechanism. It sits naturally recessed inside the body.

Installation is very simple. After preparing the cable, the receptacle is soldered onto the centre conductor.  The outer body pushes over the top until the receptacle sits just slightly recessed. The ferrule is crimped using a standard 10.89 mm (.429″) hex die.
